Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What is a site session and how do we calculate it?

A session starts when a visitor reaches your site and ends after 30 minutes of inactivity. In each session, there can be multiple page views and actions performed by a visitor, and each visitor can visit more than once. For more details, you can refer to this article : https://swym.it/help/session-counts-on-wishlist-plus/.

  1. What is a user action?

One User Action is created every time a user adds an item to their wishlist/ save for later list on your store. The number of User Actions for your store increases by 1 each time a user adds an item to their wishlist/SFL. We only count the Add to Wishlist/SFL Actions, not the number of items present in the list. Therefore, when a user removes an item from their list, the User Actions count does not decrease. Other than the free plan, at the start of each calendar month, the User Action counter is reset to zero.

  1. Is the user action limit per user or for the entire store?

The user action limit applies to all customers collectively, not on a per-user basis. You can monitor these metrics on the Swym dashboard to keep track of your overall usage.

  1. How would I know if my user actions are exceeding?

Merchants will receive email notifications when their  Shopper Actions are approaching or have exceeded their quota. This ensures that merchants are informed promptly and can take action, such as upgrading to a higher plan, to avoid any disruptions in the service. We will send out emails every day when the quota usage has reached between 80%, and 100%, providing ample warning before any limits are reached.

For FreeRevised24 plan - We will send out emails once every 7 days when the quota usage has reached between 80% and 100%

For the Paid Revised plans - If the monthly user actions have gone beyond 80% of the quota, an email will be sent to the merchant to notify their high usage of WL and request them to upgrade. This will be sent every day whenever the quota usage is > 80% and < 100%.

  1. What is the new Free plan/FreeRevised24?

The new Free plan introduces a Lifetime Shopper Action count capped at 500 actions for each merchant. This includes all the user actions including the “Add to wishlist” and “Save for later” actions. The merchant will have to upgrade their plan once the lifetime user action is reached. This change took effect on June 15, 2024.

  1. How is it different from our old Free plan offering?

Under the old Free plan, WLP actions were refreshed monthly. The new plan replaces the monthly quota with a lifetime quota of 500 actions. Once this limit is reached, no new actions can be captured unless the merchant upgrades to a paid plan. The quotas will not be reset in the beginning of every month since it is lifetime quota. Merchant has to upgrade to a higher plan to enable the app.

  1. What happens if we exhaust the all-time quota? Will it renew?

If the 500 action quota is exhausted, the app will be disabled and no new actions can be captured. There will be no refresh of actions at the beginning of the next month. Merchants will need to upgrade to a paid plan to reactivate the app and continue capturing actions. You can visit our pricing page to explore the details of our paid plans.

  1. How do plans work for a Shopify Plus merchant?

If you are on the Shopify Plus platform, you have the option to choose our PRO and above plans. We offer a 1-month free trial, allowing you to explore all the features and see the value they bring before committing to a paid plan.

We recently obtained Shopify Plus certification, reflecting our commitment to meeting the highest industry standards. This certification requires us to adhere to stringent requirements, which has led to revisions in our pricing model.

  1. What happens if the number of monthly site sessions exceeds the quota limit?

Exceeding the quota limit for monthly site sessions does not result in the Wishlist Plus application being disabled. The site session quota is primarily a tool to help you determine the most suitable plan for your store. By analyzing numerous websites, we have designed our plans to allow you to estimate the number of wishlist actions that might occur based on your store's monthly site visits.
